Mary Saad Assel earned her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialty in brain science, from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She is a retired professor and former administrator of the English Language Institute at Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Michigan, as well as a retired adjunct instructor of Bilingual Linguistic Studies at Wayne State University. A certified Arabic-to-English translator, Dr. Assel possesses advanced expertise in translating the grammar and syntax of both languages. Her deep understanding of cultural differences between Arabic and English-speaking communities is essential for preventing misinterpretations. Skilled in various techniques like adaptation, transliteration, and terminology management, she ensures her translations are accurate and culturally relevant. With meticulous attention to detail, she checks grammar, spelling, and meaning to maintain the integrity of her work.
